How to Use Soft Water & Hard Water — and What They Do

After making a handmade sensory ball or purchasing one of our handcrafted balls, you can use Soft Water or Hard Water to adjust its texture if it feels too firm or too soft while squeezing.

  • If it feels too firm, use Soft Water to make it softer.
  • If it feels too soft, use Hard Water to make it firmer.

How to Use

  1. Have an adult prepare the provided syringe and draw up a small amount of Soft Water or Hard Water.
  2. Locate the ball’s sealed opening, such as the zip-tie closure, crystal seal, or raised injection point on the bottom.
  3. Carefully insert the syringe into the opening and slowly inject a small amount.
  4. Squeeze and knead the ball thoroughly to distribute the liquid evenly.
  5. Check the texture. If necessary, add another small amount and continue kneading until you are satisfied.

Important Safety Notice

Always add the liquid gradually. Do not inject too much at once. Syringes must only be handled by adults and must never be used by children.
